Recent problems with alarm going off on my 2010 XF. Display shows that the right hand rear door has initiated the alarm, although then able to relock car and display does not show door open.
Dealer checked out and could find no fault, including I am told checking door switch.
Four hours after picking up car, alarmed again. Right hand rear door again. However this time the display showed rear door was open, and could not lock the car. Progress, at least permanent fault which should be easier to trace.
Car left unlocked in garage overnight, rear door not opened / closed. By morning, although car had not been touched fault had cleared and able to lock \ unlock car. Very annoying.
Anybody have alarm problems \ advice
I have rebooked into dealer for further checks.

Returned to dealer. Further investigation found a faulty door latch on right hand rear door. This mechanism also includes the door sensor switch. So far so good.
Point worth noting, the alarm message in the security screen of vehicle settings does not clear down by locking / unlocking car etc. It will always show the last alarm event.
