Report Bluetooth connectivity with smartphone in Jaguar X-Type Club Posted July 26, 2012 I have an 05 registered X type 3.0 ltr estate.Since new I have successfully used a top of the range Nokia with the in car blue tooth system.I need to change my phone and am considering an iPhone 4s or a Samsung Galaxy.I have tried to connect a friend's iPhone following the instruction manual but it simply won't connect.I heard that the problem is the Blue Tooth platform which has been upgraded on newer phones.Am I wasting my time trying to connect a smartphone?
