  1. Hello

Having done much research and spoken to my non Jag garage I conclude that rear spring are tired and should be replaced. With a full tank of fuel ride height is 20 mm lower than it should be. Since springs determine ride height should shock absorbers be changed at same time ?

  2. I believe that the time taken to charge your battery is dependant on the maximum amps of your charger.  So take the amp hours of your battery and divide by the charge rate of the charger. This should give you the time taken to charge your battery.

For example the CTEK MXS 7.0 gives 7 amps. So a 77 amphour battery will take 10 hours to fully charge

Jaguar, in general can be a problem with battery discharge. Using a CTEK Re-conditioner/Charger regularly and for at least 24 hours can resolve/stop a lot of low battery potential problems.

"Other makes are available" ........... as the media would state. You will find a lot of people on this forum , including myself, use the CTEK product. I have a CTEK MS 7, which is also capable of starting flat batteries.

    Best Wishes and Regards, John

Thanks John. I have a CTEK charger - very good bit of kit
