Stored around 35 years ago after sparing use by my father
Genuine low mileage, Barn find/restoration project.
The MKII was a result of improvements over the prior version, and had quite a following leading to a well deserved British Automotive history.
Today, it's a highly sought-after gem among collectors and enthusiasts, especially when equipped with the renowned 3.8-liter straight-six engine.
This particular early Mark 2 was purchased in 1986 by its current owner, the third in line, and had a genuine mileage of less than 30,000.
After minimal usage, it was stowed away in a barn where it remains to this day.
The vehicle seems to be mostly intact, but it clearly demands a full restoration. It will need to be transported as the brakes have become seized over time.
Original interior with signs of wear, but no tears or rips in the seating
Door cards are in reasonable condition, as are the chrome handles
Retains the original radio and steering wheel
Wooden trim is peeling in some areas
The entire interior seems to be in relatively good shape.
Maintains its original Grey paint
Exhibits a fair amount of corrosion on the body, but the panels are straight and relatively undamaged
Bumpers and the front grille have been detached but are present
Equipped with original steel wheels
All lights are complete and appear undamaged
Features a 3.8-liter engine
Very low mileage
Equipped with an automatic gearbox
It has been idle for a considerable period however, when it was last parked in 1987, it was running without any issues and has remained stationary since.
This might not be a project for the faint of heart, given the substantial amount of work needed to restore this Mk 2 to its former glory.
It appears to be mostly intact and boasts an exceptionally low, verified mileage. For the right individual, this could present a fantastic opportunity.
