I have a 2.0 XE R Sport diesel and I have been told that I have a piston valve fault causing a low Oil engine light on my dashboard when the car is warmed up and at around 1000 -1500 rpm , when I took it to be checked I was told I have also low compression on piston No1 . I have been made aware that Jaguar do not replace pistons but the engine complete . My warranty company will go with work upto £1000 on the piston valve but will not do anything with the piston No1 itself unless I pay the extra . Does anyone have any suggestions please or had this issue themselves .
