  1. Thanks for the clarification, it will now be removed as I prefer my cars as they came out the factory 🙂
  2. Hope the Nail Varnish worked, mine is still as good as the day it was applied. Anyway another question i have re boot badgees
  3. Hope the Nail Varnish worked, mine is still as good as the day it was applied. Anyway another question I have re boot badges, I have seen a number of XK150 (various manufacturing dates) and not all of them have the leaping Jag on the boot lid like mine. Is this standard on a 2010 XKR 5.0ltr Supercharged Convertible?
  4. Some forecourts are now restricting the use E5 so E10 is only available when filling up. I have had a number of Classic cars over the years and whenever I put E10 in I always dossed the tank with REDEX Petrol System Cleaner which protects against corrosion from E10 fuel and never had a problem. Not used E10 in the XKR yet but if I do I will put in some REDEX.
  5. This is what it looked like after applying nail varnish, you need a steady hand though 🙂
  6. If we are talking about the 'R' badge, mine was missing its orange at the top, see picture. I managed to match this colour with one of the wife's many different nail varnishes at it worked a treat and as its enamel paint it will last for ages
  7. Thanks Jim, that's the best advise and illustration I have had so far, much appreciated.
  8. Hi, I have just become the proud owner of a 2010 XKR 5.0 Convertible and as winter is quickly approaching the car will have limited use. With this I need some advice on: 1. Where to connect the battery charger/conditioner - either hard wired directly onto the battery terminals with the cable protruding out the cover into the boot to plug in or onto the jump points behind the louver panel on the left hand side of the boot. 2. Is the attached equipment adequate to plug in as a battery charger/conditioner? Thanks
