Bought a 2000 XK8 yesterday, having wanted one for a long time.
Drives well, got a few niggles to sort including replacing batteries in remote fobs, but very pleased with it.

Not a current Jag owner, but hoping to buy a facelift S-type in the future, perhaps early next year.
Everything I have read on this forum elsewhere is telling me to avoid the automatic box, even the 6-speed ZF box in the newer cars. Tradition market wisdom says that Jags are "best" with an automatic, but I think a manual would suit the sportier image of the S-type.
Does anyone on here run a manual S-type? How do you find it? Ideally I'd like to find a 3.0 manual in a dark metallic colour, with sport spec, but appreciate that it would take a long time to find a car if I was being that fussy!

Good luck with the sale.
The short MOT would put me off - is there any reason why you have not put the car in for a test?

Thanks for the welcome. My car history to date has mostly been newish German and Japanese saloons and hatches, so a 16 year old Jag is quite a contrast.
Niggles are dead remote locking fobs, a bit of condensation in one of the headlights, and a slow electric aerial.
All fairly common (and hopefully fixable) things based on what I've read online.
Would appreciate any recommendations for independent Jag specialists in the Surrey area. Surrey Jag Centre in Croydon look good based on their website, but happy to hear other suggestions
The Perseus 20" wheels are in great nick and look fantastic, but I'm toying with the idea of going down a size or two, if anyone wants to swap a set of 17" or 18" wheels...
