Mark:, I presume you mean the solenoid. Turbo Boost solenoid is the electronic valve that controls the Wastegate ( petrol engine) or the variable vanes (VGT on diesel "your case") It controls the maximum boost you can have in your boost circuit (std and overboost ) ATB, Trevor

I cycle on the excercise bike 13 miles a day, and do a short spell on the rowing machine and walk three miles every morning, also a long walk over Exmoor every Sunday . Liam, The new F Type Coupe R-S will cost £90K , The Aston Martin Vanquish starts at £180k , The Jag is going to slaughter it ! I have never been so disillusioned in my life over my DB9's , vastly overrated, shoddily built, not very fast , tech designed by Fred Flinstone . and notoriously unreliable . It looked good and sounded good (but so did the wife when i married her ) . It was going to be my dream car, but knowing what I know now I'd have a Jag every single time . Welcome Liam , I don't know why the cars are so cheap second hand, but they all seem fantastic regardless of age ! I owned two Aston Martin DB9's before this XJ Supersport. Peter. It's " man in an apron day" every day for me, I do all the slavery . Up T' North chips are regarded as one of your "five a day" aren't they? Since the heart attack I've not eaten any known fat, sugar or salt, I always build my own food and never buy any pre prepared or pre packed food, or eat out. I have lost four stone, feel very well, and my cholesterol is so low i have to buy some online ! And you are right, the main dealers do sometimes forget to reset the computer, they did so with mine, another reason why I'm giving them a wide berth ! ATB, Trevor
