Hi guys, we've recently had a new water pump on our 71,000 mile 2001 3.0 litre auto X type. All seemed good but just a few thousand miles later the leak is back again.
Looks like the later pump again. Any ideas. Anyone seen this before.
Cheers

I've just had a gearbox Oil change by my local specialist (S&P autos) for £258. Including drain, refill, topup change plug etc. My S type MKI was done by Bristol transmissions two years ago around £300.
X type is JATCO box, S type MKI is a ford box.
Part of problem is JAGUAR sell the stuff in small bottles as they dont see it as necessary.

Hi Dell
Thanks for that. Wondered if it might be.
Its not bad just present now and again.
I think you're more Dell computer and i'm more Del peckham independent trader.
Youre car looks nice, I like that zircon blue colour. Ours is undercoat i.e. silver.
Anyway thanks for the reply and all the best.

HI there guys
I've got a slight rumble from the rear. Sounds like the suspension doing its work rather than wheel bearings. Could be transfer box I suppose.
Not great noise but there now and again.
Has anyone come across this.
Cheers

Same too on the X type JATCO box. So much better. Shame it wasnt a little cheaper and recommended by Jaguar even say after 75,000 miles or something.
