  1. Hi Joe, thanks for the info, it looked a lot simpler to me,from looking at the headlight units on eBay they looked the same as mine with regards to the fitting, the plug looks the same and the unit looks like it would slot straight in,however, I didnt realise that there were so many legal requirements, may be best to forget the idea, btw,I also have to drop the bumper on the XJ to fit a Bulb, had to do this recently as the lights had condensated badly, I didnt know how to drop the bumper,it turned out to be easier than I thought, gave myself a lot of unneccesarry work in learning,eg, removed the whole splash guard.

  2. My car has ripples in the windscreen, obviously a manufacturing problem, this is a windscreen which the previous owner had as a replacement, I have the the receipt with all the details ,date etc, but as its not my name on the receipt, I was told by another windscreen company that the guarantee wouldnt be honoured, any ideas would be appreciated.

  3. I have a condensation prob with the full beam lens of the nearside (passenger) side headlight unit, idealy I would like to remove the unit and take it indoors to dry and clean the fogging from inside the lens, apart from unplugging the electrics, could someone advise how to remove the unit, I would like to know how many bolts are involved, it looks like there is 1 bolt and the rest is manouvering the unit off a series of clips, also it looks like the lens can be removed, is this possible, Thanks.

  4. Hi Peter, sorted problem myself, thanks, I have tried to post a pic of my pride and joy on my profile but keep getting script that file is too large, its just a pic I took with my camera, what am I doing wrong, Thanks
