Apparently 2003 XKR uses belt-driven Eaton rotor-type supercharger with intercooling, with helical rotor gears for low noise and coated rotors for maximum efficiency - at the time both industry firsts on a production engine.
New member having just bought 2003 XKR 4.2 convertible. Had an XF in the past and treated myself to a future classic. Already frightened myself a couple of times when the supercharger kicked in and still think it has plenty of horses left under the bonnet.
