Hi.
I have a 1988 daimler sovereign 3.6 and I was trying to remove the door panel today. I got the top part removed no problem but Im stuck on removing the bottom part. There is one screw that goes into the light/reflector on the arm rest and there is another type of screw towards the front of the arm rest. Is this a screw that is screwed out or does it just ''pop out''. It looks like plastic flat head screw but its not turning and I don't want to break it.It is the later type panel. I have been told that if the battery is in the boot or under the bonnet there is a difference in the door panels. Mine has the battery UNDER THE BONNET.It is NOT the one in this ink. Also, how is the electric windows and speaker removed or Does it become obvious once the arm rest is removed ? Or if anyone knows, what do I do after the arm rest removed. I would really appreciate help on this as I don't want to risk breaking anything when I don't really know what Im doing . Thanks very much. Please reply ASAP. Thanks again. This forum has helped me in the past so I'm hopeful it can come good again ! :) -
no the door isn't opening from the inside or the outside .. will I still be able to take the door panel off do you think ? I think it probably is the plastic part that holds the catch as the owner said I can adjust it to make the doors open easier/freely. Will I need to take the door panel off to fix the plastic part ? thanks very much

okay.. so I bought my daimler sovereign 3.6 a few days ago. When I bought it the owner said that it did have some issues... For example; the left hand rear door doesn't open.. he said it was a kind of 'link' that needed adjustment but the door had to be taken off the hinges to get access to remove the door panel. But today, I went to open the drivers door and failed.. I got it open by simply pulling the handle from the inside to open it.. but when I pulled it into the garage and pull the handle to get out, nothing happened (climbing out the passenger side was not as easy as you would think ) ..
The other door handles are extremely stiff/hard to open also and I'm afraid that some day I may get locked out !!!
I need urgent advice on this topic ..
all help is very much appreciated :) :)

hi
I am just wondering if anyone is breaking a rust free (or nearly rust free) Jaguar ? The parts I am looking for is a good bonnet and boot lid. Must be pretty rust free. My car is a daimler sovereign 3.6 1988 ( square headlamps) If it was in ireland it would be a bonus but I don't mind if its in the UK :) thanks very much
