  1. Hi all

I'm Sam, i'm 31 and run a health and fitness business in Brighton. I have owned a number of cars from a Clio V6, honda civic, Alfa 159 and now, sadly my business car, a Citroen c1 (secretly love that thing). Since my wife commandered my Honda Civic I am thinking of buying an Jag S type 2.5/3 litre petrol. It's purely a weekend car so MPG isn't really an issue and I like silky petrol engine. My parents are often not in the country so when they ARE back they need a car they can use and so I suggested sharing the Jag, good for both parties ;) I was thikning BMW or MERC

Anyway, I wanted to say hi to you all, any advice is greatly appreciated, I do tend to do alot of research before taking the plunge and i'm open more often to buying forum members cars as in my experience, they are better looked after!

    All the best

    Sam

Hi Sam, I'm a first time Jag owner, 2001 4 litre xj8, silky smooth sums it up, smile like a kid every time I get behind the wheel, wish I'd done it earlier and in 5 months not a single problem. you have a tough choice, if it helps the jag does 28 on a run easily but a bit thirsty round town, but worth every penny.

  2. Extremely happy at my new purchase (2001 XJ8 4 ltr in Blue) drivers like I always dreamed it would but I also know the future does hold some expensive costs, so my question (I'm sure other have written the same) is what can I expect in the near future, the thing of beauty has covered 65000 so far but still pulls like a train and as the slogan says "grace, style and pace" in abubdance.
