  1. Good Afternoon,

It is time for my car to be serviced and I have booked it in at my trusted local garage. However, as he is a one-man-band and is not VAT registered, I am going to buy the Oil and filters myself in order to claim back the VAT on these items.

The owner's handbook says that the Oil I need must meet 5w30 WSS M2C913B spec. I have found Ford/Castrol Magnatec at a good price but this is 5w30 WSS M2C913D. Is this still OK to put in my Jaguar's engine?

    Thank you.

  2. Jaguar Voice is voice control of various functions of the car. You will have a small telephone symbol on the audio control switches on the left hand side of the steering wheel. If you press that button and it mutes your audio for a second or two, that suggests Jaguar Voice.

The microphone will be immediately obvious on a 2007 model car. Earlier cars had it installed within the overhead console but yours will be easily visible David :)

Clearly, if you don't have the microphone then you won't have Bluetooth or JV.

    Is this the microphone?

    Behind the round slatted hole?

The steering wheel has the voice button.

  3. Afternoon all,

I have just bought this car and so am trying to work out how all the toys work,,,

I am attempting to pair the car to my mobile. Following the instruction book (publication Part No. JJM 10 31 99 552), I have switched the ignition on.  The book says that the screen message "HANDSET" should be displayed but it isn't showing that.

It says that, after a brief system check, that I should see SIG displayed on the screen. It doesn't show that either.

I've gone to the bluetooth settings on my phone and asked it to search for devices but it comes up with nothing.

Does this mean that, even though all these phone buttons are on my dash, the car doesn't neccesarily have the telephone equipment (it has a CD changer button but a search of the boot, under seats, or glove box has failed to locate it), or that it is broken, or simply that I'm an inept techno-idiot?

Attached is a photo of the dash.

    Thanks in advance
