  1. Claws, if you go to the first page Ive posted a link to ebay where I bought my leads from to convert to ISO. they are £2.74 I think. Its as simple as you plug one set of wires into the other and hey presto.
  2. I think, Claws, You have to buy an adpater wiring harness. It wasnt until 2004 I believe when most if not all car came with standard ISO wiring to fit any after market radio. Ive had to buy an adapter lead of of ebay. Converts the current leads behind the radio to standard ISO so I can fit any aftermarket radio I like.
  3. also, How does one find the radio code for the standard Jag head unit ? If I ever sell her I might have to put it back in ? Thanks
  4. No problem Claws, Thanks for all the advice given today!!! much much appreciated.
  5. Hmmmmm glad youve mentioned this, I nearly bought the Double DIN Faceplate. Ill grab one out of a ford.
  6. Yes, Thanks matey!!! Great Help!! Annoying its Din and half, Ive bought the leads there's a face plate available at halfords that makes it into single din and get a tray too!! :)
  7. Hi all, looking at changing the radio head unit... what is the removal process on a 2001 model S Type ? Ive ordered the ISO leads from ebay which is the folloiwng: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180915242359?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT These should convert whats in the back of the current standard Jag head unit into standard ISO. If someone could confirm, that'd be great and also a guide on how to replace double DIN head unit thats in at the moment. Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks Steve The cost of the tin of Underseal seems fairly cheap.. around the £30 quid mark. Cheaper than a New S Type :)
  9. Hi all, The Jag sailed through MOT with no signs of corrosion or rust anywhere underneath Is it worth applying underseal ? Thanks
  10. I have 255/55/R16's on mine in the rear - gonna have to get new tyres cause they are almost down to the TWI's.
  11. I have been looking on ebay and have found a few fleece type ones around the £30 quid mark. Good idea you had... any pics ?
  12. I'd quite like one of those black, Jaguar coats I keep seeing people wear. Or maybe.... thats a bit too far.
  13. Fantastic Car.
  14. The Jag club... its very nice. I actually parked up in a car park today after MOT... as I was removing key from ignition and dark blue S Type pulled up right next to me... "orite Mate, Nice Jag" - "And you mate" Lol. :)
  15. Hi all, I managed to pick up 2 water bottle pumps this morning for the grand price of free... Fitted one... works perfect. Crazy really... Still Failed MOT - Excessively corroded offside front brake pipe. So, Rebooked in for tomorrow. Brake pipe getting done for £40 and a free retest.
  16. Thanks Harv, MOT doesnt run out till 1st November so should be ok.
  17. I'm usually on the ball with MOT and have it done by now, but had some money issues past few months (weve all been there) just bad timing!
  18. Thanks Newbie, I think the retests are free ?
  19. "Grace, Space and Pace" is excellent what Jaguar is!! Utterly fantastic!
  20. DO I have to leave it at the garage where the MOT has taken place or can I drive it back to work (Less than A mile away) ? I ask as I have ordered the Washer Bottle Pump but its not going to get here till Thursday or Friday... MOT is tomorrow.! Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks
  21. Glad you got sorted and good job you had an idea of what you where looking for. I bought my S Type on a whim. Fantastic though. 71k on the clock. Good condition. EML come son now and again and rectifies itself but no big issue. MOT due tomorrow... only failure I can see is the Washer Bottle pump not working - instant fail. :(.

Hi all, Wondered if anyone had noticed this with their S Type, Engine Management Light has been on for the past 2 weeks... havent had chance to read the codes as my bluetooth adapter hasnt been working. Weirdly, I was checking levels etc and noticed the coolant was just below the min mark, topped it up with the proper coolant and no EML... ? Is this coincidence or was the car trying to tell me to top up the fluid ? Thanks all.
