  1. I'm more than happy with the 2.5ltr sport auto it's a brilliant relaxing car to drive.  At the moment if I want something quicker and more livelier I have a V6 MG ZS and that car goes like stink and holds the road brilliantly.  But I can't keep two V6's and I really really like the S Type always wanted one, well for at least 4 years and this one came along at the right price.  When purchasing the S type I knew I might be getting made redundant and I personally felt that turning up for job interviews or meeting clients the Jaguar would be the better car.

  2. Exactly I agree that's why I asked for pictures of spoilers fitted so I could make my own mind up, on whether it would or would not make the car more pleasing to my eye.  I personally don't like after market stickers on cars a personal choice but other people like them, however I wouldn't offer an opinion on them unless asked.

  3. Why Not?

If it's perfect why do some have spoilers fitted as standard?

I already have a track car which does the job much better than the S-type can and would.

Yes it's more for looks than anything else, but i asked for pictures of them fitted not opinions thank you.

  4. Usually gains on non-turbo charged cars are small (in comparison to what you can get out of a turbo'd engine)

I would be suprised to see 20 BHP+ even with the panel filter, adding uprated exhaust and sports cat would see some gains as well but an expensive option.

Would be cheaper to look at swapping the car for a 3.0, extra 40 bhp out of the box ?

My guess would be that the remap would just improve 'driveability' improving throttle response and get rid of any flat spots ?

That's what I'm after to be honest.

  5. My local remapper said they couldn't do anything for the V6 petrol (only 2.7 diesel and the supercharged V8) , but these guys appear to offer a 35bhp upgrade for the 2.5 (and a 20bhp for the 3.0), both at £299. From a selfish point of view I'd say go for it and let us know how you get on, this seems some quite cheap horses, and if it works, we can all consider it ;)

It's on my list of things I would like to do in the very near future.
