Hi Paul have come across this topic and would be interested to know how to do this modification or where I can get it done, I quite often drive away and forget to put the mirrors back out till I go to look in them so having them open automatically would be a great asset. my car is an X-Type 2.0 Diesel est 2009 SE. Hi I am getting white smoke when pulling away in lower gears, once I am in top gear and cruising normally then there is no smoke, other symptom is I am getting a slight lag on the turbo. Not sure why white smoke have been using slick 50 fuel additive to keep injectors clean and will be using slick 50 additive on next oil change, would the lag on the turbo indicate a problem and be causing the white smoke? Would be grateful for any information or if anyone else has had the same problem. Alan

Hi have just ordered one today got it for £19.99. Excellent price thanks for the info. will update mine from 2008-2009 been looking for ages cheapest I could find was a 3 disc western Europe for £84.99 from ebay.

Thanks Paul how much would you charge for a 4 way lead as I have SATNAV CDC and PHONE can you get the plugs separately so I could add to the cable if I did fit the voice unit? Regards, Alan

Hi Peter Thanks have searched settings and mute was ok checked wiring to DVD and found optical connector was disconnected and connected to the cd changer, will need to get a 4 way lead so I can reconnect the DVD player as well as the cd changer. only discovered it yesterday so now looking out for a 4 way fibre optic lead to replace the one in there which labelled CDDJ, NAV & VOICE/PHONE. I assume jaguar must make such a beast Regards, Alan

Hi all I have just come back from holiday and when using my navigation system I had no voice, I have checked the volume and voice is switched on but still get nothing, has anyone else had this problem and would be grateful for any help about this problem?

Hi Can anyone tell me if the speech module replaces the existing phone module as the socket on the back has a multi connector as well as the fibre connection, I have a 2009 x-type estate which has the phone module but not the speech, so don't know if the module I have found is a combined unit or just a separate one? Thanks Steve I have made the phone visible and scanned for compatible devices but it does not discover the cars Bluetooth which says on the screen discover me, I have looked in my manual to see if the premium sound system can scan for my phone but can't find any way of doing it, I thought all Bluetooth devices could scan. have just rescanned with phone through settings and it has now found it Thanks again for your help Steve much appreciated this by the way is my first Jag and I love it.

My Samsung Galaxy S5 will not connect to the Bluetooth I have an X-type SE estate 2009 model ant when I go to the info website I can't find a list, I wondered if the Bluetooth on the audio system can be updated? would be grateful if anyone out there has had the same problem and found a fix.
