XJR-6 Tyres
To see the range of suitable tyres for your vehicle, go to the Kwik Fit website and input your registration number. You don't have to buy your tyres from Kwik Fit, but there website is really simple to use and get the information that you need to find the best deal on your choice. Just to remember to double check the size and rating that the website comes up with. N6 JMX

XF X260 Tailgate
If they're the same/similar to Range Rover struts of a similar era, they can't be stripped as far as i'm aware. However, have a search on ebay/Amazon/etc, chances are you'll find an aftermarket part that is identical in every way except perhaps the manufacturers logo. A friend of mine had exactly the symptoms you describe with his RR and the new aftermarket struts were identical except for the logo. Fixed the problem in a matter of minutes to swap them.

Fault codes
Thanks again, it seems quite easy to change this sensor, but not the other one, apparently it's inside the transmission, don't know if I'm confident enough to change that one 😕, But then it may be an idea to change the fluid as the car has done 51000 🤔

No Start
hi fellow Jag owners, new to this forum and to Jaguars. 2001 S Type V6 in USA (California). Gasoline engine. the car has a parasitic drain in the battery. No codes from the OBDII connector. If I charge the battery for 10 minutes the car starts quickly. I let it run to normal operating temperature, turn the engine off. After that, the car will not start. Any ideas as to what causes this? Car has 67,000 miles, in excellent shape. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Oil Dilution
Just had my car, XJ L Autobiography in the garage as the service indicator keeps coming in and counting down very quickly. The garage have said this is due to abnormal oil dilution due to the DPF regen not performing properly. The car is driven on both long and short journeys. It has only done 58000. Any suggestions please as to what might be causing this?

S-Type 2006 - Remotes won't pair with the car
Might be worth checking if there's a separate receiver/antenna module for the keyless entry that's failed. I've heard of cases where the door module and receiver are two different components.

I've had good luck with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on my older X type - they handle well in the wet and last a decent amount of time.

Headlight fault
Sounds like the light switch stalk itself might be faulty since you're getting backwards behavior with lights coming on when it's "off" - might be worth checking if the stalk connector is clean or if the switch needs replacing.

Check Pedestrian System Warning
To me it sounds like the pedestrian detection sensor in the front bumper is likely the culprit, especially since pulling the F36 fuse (which probably disables that system) made it go away temporarily - hope the garage already resolved it!

Check Pedestrian System Warning
Hi Philip Hopefully the garage will be able to sort it. Just a thought but was the 2022 replacement battery an AGM? If it was replaced with a flooded cell battery it could well have failed or even a cheap AGM may have started to fail if it has been subject of frequent stop/start cycles. Good luck John

Check Pedestrian System Warning
Had a new battery in 2022, fault disappeared after removing F36 fuse in rear BCM but has now started doing it again but now undriveable as it cuts out all the time :( so fault went away for 10 months. Garage is looking at it today hopefully its just a failing sensor behind the front bumper area. Also never had any of the random error messages since the new battery and corroded pins fix.

Headlight fault
Hi fellas. Got a strange issue with headlights. With stalk in 'auto' position..... nothing, just two little dot running lights. Same when stalk is in both headlight and side light positions. When stalk is in 'off' position, sidelights come on. Don't get it. Ive checked fuses and relays, all good. Help please.

XJR-6 Tyres
Hi...welcome to the Club I'm sure the majority of members have their preferences but all I would say is to get the best you can for your money. Avoid any budget tyres, go mid-range or premium quality, so brands such as Dunlop, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin and quite a few others Let us know how you get on with your tyre choice

XF X260 Tailgate
Hi all, I have had my XF sport (2017) for 7 years now. I have had a few minor issues in that time but now my electric tailgate won't close. it started making some clunking and wirring noises after someone tried closing it manaully instead of using the push button for electric closing ( a non driving person). Now after a few weeks of intermittent failure during closing where in it would stop and re-open as if something was preventing closing, it now refused to move from the fully open position. I have sprayed some lube on the hinges in case that was the issue but I suspect maybe the struts or one of them is kaput. Has anyone ever stripped one of these struts down and repaired them?

S-Type 2006 - Remotes won't pair with the car
I have a 2006 S-Type. The buttons on one of the remotes started to fail so it was refurbished and I then took both keys to a local independant Jag garage that has the Jaguar computer to get it repaired with the car. The sequence was followed, first clearing the car of any keys and then repairing them both together. The clear worked but the 2 x remotes won't pair with the car. Now I have no working remotes. It was determined there must be a fault with the module in the drivers door. A replacement module was sourced and I fitted it myself before heading to a different Jag dealer with the necessary equipment to pair the keys. Same thing happend, the sequence is followed, both keys were paired and the process completes with no errors shown on the computer. However the same result, neither key is paired with the car. Anyone come across this before or know what to try next?

What made you pick an F-type R? What else did you consider?
Hey all, I'm thinking of buying an F-type R coupe, and just wondering what else people considered specifically coupe owners prior to F-type R. And what made you go for F-type over something else

x260 2019 coolant sensor replacement
HI. My temperature gauge in dash does not register unless I am in heavy traffic: motorway cruising and it stays at bottom of dial. I think its the sensor either stuck or broke and for the price of another on I want to replace it: however asking how easy or difficult that is in terms of access from the top of the engine? Thanks
