Had my x type for 12 months but I am finding it very uncomfortable to drive.

It seems like the peddle is too high is there any way to lower it

Any one got any ideas

I have just had a look at my S Type, and there does not seem to be a way of adjusting the height of the accelerator pedal.  I believe that on some models, usually the "R" versions have an automatic adjustment mode.

 

I have also had a look at the x type handbook and can't find anything there either.

 

I have never had a problem of that nature, and think that your comfort while driving could be something to do with your seat adjustment.  I am not a tall person - just 5'6' - and have to get the seat memory right for driving.  It could be worth having an experiment.

Had a play about with my seat it's a bit better now.

We have just fitted a new updated pulley belt kit took a bit of doing as the belt took some getting on but managed it in the end.

Glad you are a bit more comfortable, Chrissy.

 

Getting the seating position right is something that takes time.  I am still fiddling around with mine after a year.
