Hiya Keith, As far as I can tell, it is part of the ABS module, under the bonnet, front righthand corner next to windscreen washer bottle.

Do you have a DSC System Unavailable message?

Hi REG

I have a constantly flashing DSC amber fault symbol on the dash and was woundering where to start looking.

Me too, I am still working on a solution,
I have cleaned all wheel sensors,

Checked Brake pressure transducer with multmeter

Checked all DSC conectors.

Apparently a  dodgy battery ie low voltage can be responsible for quite a few anomalies, having checked my battery I found it was an AA temporary one, suitable for an ASTRA in normal use!!!!! waiting for new battery from "Battery Megastore" being delivered today hopefully.

Also disconnecting the battery and reconnecting (Hard Reset) can fix some problems, just like computers Ha! turn it off and back on.

I will let you know my progress.

Hi Reggie,

I had heard that an unsuitable or failing battery will start to shut down things which the computer on the car feels are unnecessary.

A member who bought an s type from a small dealer found that the "new" battery which was fitted was a very small one [54 Amps], a bit more suitable for a mini.

Regards,

Peter.

Wow that was worse than the one on my car LOL.

I went home for lunch and the battery arrived, good timing. I changed the battery, what a difference in size, even the wife commented on it ;) but light is still flashing :( annoyingly the user manual and workshop manual both state that it is safe to drive with it flashing or even with the error message, but I believe it will fail MOT which is due on 22nd Sept. Might be a trip to local indie Jag repair J-CAT in Norwich.

OK REG THANKS FOR THAT

Hi Reg how did the MOT go ?
