handbrake problem

Hello all  im looking for some tips i have a 2002 s-type s and i have a problem with the EHB its showing fault ive tried the reset with no joy :(  it tells me to apply break and when i do i get the red flashing break light come on but no movement at the rear i have unplugged the power mod to over ride it and the motor and handbrake is free ??.

lost now can anyone help please 


Hi Neil, and welcome to the Club.

 

I have had the same problem, and the cure I used was to disconnect the battery, leave it disconnected for about ten minutes, and then connect it again.  

 

That should clear the fault.  You will have to reset your settings again.

Not an idea on this one sorry without being there whereupon I would plug in my OBD2 reader and look for any fault codes.
