Stype 1999 phone????

Featured Replies

can anybody help I've just put a deposit on a stype 1999 it has satnav voice command ect ect. It had a phone button can my mobile connect to this system or is it just factory fit. Cheers phil

Hi Phil. I'm no expert but at that age I reckon it will be factory fit. My 1998 XJ when I had it was too early for Bluetooth and had a handset tucked away in the centre arm rest console. Just thinking your S type from the same era would be similar.

Although Bluetooth was invented in 1998 it wasn't in common use until 2003 so, no it won't work.

Now and again the Motorola phones crop up on eBay.

Old technology though so novelty value imho.
