Hi guys  i have codes Po409  sensor a circuit    P0404 egr recirculating control circuit range/performance,any idea where these sensors are and what can be done about them,any help much appreciated  cheers

Not having an X Type I can't give you and answer, but there are several owners of X Types who can.

 

At a guess, Bertieboy [Mark] will not only know where they are, but will also tell you how to replace them.

Sounds like a faulty EGR valve. Get it cleaned and check that the valve isn't sticking.

Already done that i think the problem is electrical finding it is another matter".cheers 

It could be a fault connecter. I would check if any of the wiring looms are rubbing. Otherwise it sounds like a faulty EGR valve.
