Hi every one,

I've got sometimes problem with my key. My steering wheel is locked security LED flashing and car wont start. When I keep key on start position for few minutes LED go off then I remove the key and I put it again and everything is fine. Look like it wont recognise my key sometimes. Do i need to recode my key (may I do this by my self?) or there is something else to do?

Car is S-type 2003.

There was an article a few weeks ago about the cars who electronic security system was easy to get into for the determined and expert thief.  Jaguar and Ford were not on that list!   ----   which is rather good.

thanks mate, I'll check them up. Hope they not so expensive.

they told me its look like not key transponder fault but something with a car and anti theft system. Probably have to visit dealer but first I'll have a look for other ways. Just wonder is that may be because I don't lock my car (my remote not working even with new battery), I've try reprogram with people advices from internet but doesn't work for me. When that's happening Iv'e got code's reading  P1260 and B1601.
