New member in the USA

Featured Replies

I am originally from England and have not had a British car since an Austin Healy 3000 and a Sunbeam Alpine. Many automotive advances since then. Always wanted a Jag and recently purchased a 2006 s-type and have much to learn. For instance, a non-blinking engine light came on after a 1,200 mile trip to and from Florida. Will try to analyze, tomorrow. I look forward to participating as a member.

Welcome to the Club, Peter.

The s type is a great car and is still a head turner over here.  Last time I was in the USA I saw one in Phoenix.

I assume you have the 3 litre S type. The amber engine light can be one of many things and if you can get hold of an OBD2 code scanner you will be able to identify the issue. Just locate the plug to plug in the scanner, which, in the UK is on the drivers side, at the left, just below knee height.

Regards,

Peter.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I do have the 3.0. I also have a OBD2 scanner. It will be interesting to see if the plug is under the steering wheel or on the passenger side.
