Replacement fob not fully working

Featured Replies

Hello all

My 2004 jaguar s type had a broken key fob, but the dealer ordered a new circuit board and posted it to me to fit.

I have fitted the board and paired it to the car. It now opens the boot and unlocks the car but it won't lock it.

The micro switches on the board all seem to work. If anything the lock switch/button has a more audible click than the unlock.

I can only wonder though if he new board is faulty? Am I missing something obvious?

Any advice greatly appreciated, otherwise it will go back to the dealer.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to the club.

An auto electrician might be the person to see, but I would go back to the dealer who supplied the circuit board.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.
