Hi,

I'm a new member, and I'm changing my XF Portfolio (MY2014) to an XJ Portfolio (MY2016) this month.

I've got a 'Three' SIM card in my phone, but need to purchase a 'data only SIM' for the on-board WiFi.  I spoke to 'Three' but the sales guy said that sometimes their SIMs hadn't worked in some cars (but wasn't more specific).

Hence the question: Has anyone got any good/bad experience with Data only SIMs?  Which networks are good or to be avoided?

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Nev,

i had an EE sim in my A6 Avant my2015 and it worked fine, all our phones and pads are on EE and they have been really good for us. No longer have the car as I hated it lol, Had a look at the XJ and it is an awesome car?

good luck

Was looking at deals myself and found a 12gb data sim only deal on "3" and the sim is valid for a year

thought this would be a good option as no commitment and no necessity to top up monthly so when used up just buy another as would have no idea how much usage I might need in the car. As for wether it will work in a car not sure?
