XF 2010 Portfolio, keyless entry

Featured Replies

Having read some of the reports from members having difficulties I thought it may be useful to share my own experience.  Like other members my keyless entry just stopped working.  Did all the usual tests, changing battery etc.

Then decided that the system is probably protected by a fuse so checked in the owners manual.  It is fuse F29 Yellow 20A located in the drivers footwell, right hand side.  Removed fuse and checked but it had not blown.  Replaced fuse thinking Jaguar Dealer job.  I then thought why don't I just try it?  And yes, back to normal.  Not sure if removing the fuse and putting it back has reset something, anyway works fine now.

Welcome to the Club, William.

I have had to jiggle a fuse several times too.  It is always worth trying the simplest and cheapest solution first.

I think that doing this you have probably got a better connection.

Regards,

Peter.
