The new updated site got me thinking.

If it was possible for members to upload videos ( with audio) wouldn't that be a great way to view video diaries? As an example, I have just agreed to buy some sports boxes, I could upload the work involved to change them over, with sound before and after! Also could be used to aid in helping other members with problems that are perhaps technically difficult to explain in written format.

wouldnt this make the JOC one of the first with this facility?

anyhow just a thought, I'm sure it's been mentioned before, and I guess there are a dozen reasons why it's not possible

regards

Steve

upload to YouTube and post the link.

Thats what I've done before plus it's open to a wider audience too.

Like so.

(me being antisocial and doing 0-60 plus in my old mgf vvc)

I was thinking more direct, instead of using YouTube links

My thoughts are, eventually there would be a library of clips, available to all members of the forum searchable by topic. Perhaps not everything but you don't get everything on YouTube either.

When I look at doing a job on any car I just google it and among the results are links to car forums and YouTube.

I only found this forum by searching for aircon fixes on my old S type.

So wouldn't the same logic apply to having a video forum? Whether you use google / YouTube to search for assistance on a particular topic, is There still not a chance that you will be directed to the JOC? I'm not suggesting members can't still upload to YouTube.

I'm just simply suggesting it is possibly a more convenient method to current and future members to hopefully help in their quest for answers, by going Direct to a Jaguar orientated web site.
