Car cutting out when breaking

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I currently drive a Jaguar X-Type 2.0 D SE 4dr (05 - 05) 82,767 miles.  I am currently having the following issue:

When starting in the morning, to drive to work, I travel about 100 yards prior to breaking to come to a stop at which time the car tends to lose revs and cuts out.  Starting again, I drive to work without incident, parking in the car park.  However, when starting up after a 7 hour day, and drive off, and come to a stop before turning out the car park (around 250 yards), the car loses revs and cuts out.  This happens whether it is warm or cold.  I have used Wynn's diesel cleaner.

Can anyone assist me with this issue please?

PS: I am not techy when it comes to cars, even thought I can do some things on them.
