  1. Dear all, I currently drive a Jaguar X-Type 2.0 D SE 4dr (05 - 05) 82,767 miles. I am currently having the following issue: When starting in the morning, to drive to work, I travel about 100 yards prior to breaking to come to a stop at which time the car tends to lose revs and cuts out. Starting again, I drive to work without incident, parking in the car park. However, when starting up after a 7 hour day, and drive off, and come to a stop before turning out the car park (around 250 yards), the car loses revs and cuts out. This happens whether it is warm or cold. I have used Wynn's diesel cleaner. Can anyone assist me with this issue please? PS: I am not techy when it comes to cars, even thought I can do some things on them.
  2. Where can the Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited be obtained, please? Which ones (I see there are H1, H3, H7, H11, HB3) and will I need some form of an adapter to fit them to my x-type, please? Thanks Shaun EDIT: Purchased some already, thank you.
  3. Hi again, Do diesel additives work for cleaning out engines and if so, which one is best? Kind regards Shaun
  4. Hi, I have further questions :) Thank you for your reply, Peter. Which oil is the best oil for the x-type? I read somewhere that castrol edge is a good option. Regards Shaun
  5. It seems that the whining noise meant that the steering pump and belt needed replacing. So getting them replaced.
  6. I have recently obtained my first jaguar, and there are somethings I would like to learn about, please: 1/. When sitting in the vehicle, with no ignition, there is a buzzing sound, could some expound as to the cause, please? 2/. After starting, and then turning the steering wheel, it makes a whining sound, is this normal? 3/. Is there any way to get the jaguar bluetooth module fitted, please? Other than these things, I am enjoying the drive, there does not seem to be any issues at all. Regards Shaun
  7. Hi, I am curious, does the vehicle have a timing belt or timing chain, and how often do I need to replace it?
  8. Hi Peter, Thank you for the reply. I am just a little on the excited part... I think she is a good buy. I will post some photos when I have her. Shaun
  9. Hi, On Friday, I pick up my Jaguar X-Type SE DCI. Although this is my first Jaguar, though my parents have owned several jags: MKii, 420g, 420, XJ6 Executives (2)... so I am not new to Jaguar world. However, considering this is the first modern Jaguar... what are the things I need to be on the look out for with her? Shaun
