Hi I'm new to the Jaguar Owners Club and just wanted to say hello.

I bought my first big Cat over the weekend, a 1992 XJS 4.0L. Always wanted one and so far very happy with it :xmas:

I'm in Sutton Coldfield so any recommendations of XJS specialists would be much appreciated. First thing  on the To Do list is the Air Con.

Hi Sunny,

As far as I know there is only one mechanic calling himself a Jaguar Specialist in Sutton Coldfield.  I used him once and would not recommend him.

I have used a mobile mechanic since 2002 who knows about cars, and has all the diagnostic equipment, who I would recommend. Contact me if you want to use him.

There is a garage in Northfield which specialises in Jaguars, but other than that Colliers in Tamworth are probably the best  ---   but as a main dealer you will find them expensive.

I also am in Sutton Coldfield.

Great stuff Peter, I'll message you for the mobile mechanics details.

I did find Northfield with a quick search and they have a very good reputation from what I read online too. But was hoping there would be a specialist closer to home.

Good to know there's a fellow member nearby.
