Hi,

loving new car so far, but already have issue. Drove all way back using cruise control and it worked fine, but now everytime I press it I get 'speed over limit' come on dash and I am unable to set cruise control.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem.

Also had it happen about a year ago too but it just rectified it's self on that occasion.

Was told by an indie garage that when your battery starts to fail the cruise is one of the first things to fail..

I will check the battery, cant be doing with that had the car less than 12 hours. I expect niggles with 10 year old cars  but not too many I hope.

Thinking about it it worked perfectly until I had the lights on

You can check what your battery condition is in the engineers test menu.

turn your key to position 1 and press and hold the computer button on the stalk until engineers test mode comes up in the dash display.

then use the Khmer/mph button to scroll through until you get to battery condition.

Turning the key off reverts back to normal.

Had battery tested and is is fine, it is the right one for the car, and everything is working ok including the cruise control now.

Just found my battery online on eBay, eurocarparts, it's actually a 017, which according to them is not correct for my vehicle, that may be the problem.
