came home a short while ago and thought I would check the car was locked, I opened it this morning to check the mileage, anyhow I pressed the open button on the fob couldn't hear the central locking operate so pressed the lock button and the horn beeped twice, pressed it again to double lock and it beeped twice again, used the key to open the door no alarm, put key in ignition turned and dash lights came on as normal didn't try to start her, used key in door to lock it and horn beeped twice again, double locked it and same again,

any ideas chaps?

Sounds like it think's a door is open.

I think you are spot on, it's been fine since, I couldn't have closed the drivers door properly that morning 

I also think it does the same if a window is fully up.

How's the exhaust sounding? 

Loud! But getting used to it now, main thing SWMBO isn't complaining
