Hi all.

I want to replace the air conditioning aspirator sensor on my 2004 X-Type 2.5 SE Auto. The existing one is quite noisy. It looks like I need to drop the lower dashboard panel that's located just below the steering column, to gain access to the part. It has 2 security 'torx' type screws/bolts (I have the necessary tool), but it also has 'AIRBAG' labelled on the moulded panel. The screws are incredibly tight. Are they supposed to be undone by a DIYer? If I manage to undo these and drop down the panel, will it upset any settings on the airbag system?

Thanks in advance for any help.
