So my x type has the touch screen in it and while I think it's the best looking system in the x type I'm sick of the poor Bluetooth system, the poor radio reception, and frankly prehistoric sat nav system.

I'm looking to rip that out and put in a double din (I know about depth issues)

But what I'm trying to find out is what you do about the climate control..... can I just buy that unit from a xtype without the sat nav and fit?

Thanks in advance

Hi

I don't think you can go back to the old climate control panel.

more than sure the wiring harness is different, its not plug and play

personally I would not bother its too much hassle

I bought a Geartist GB01, its a bluetooth fm transmitter, tune it in to a fm channel and pair it to you phone and you can play all your music from your phone through the car, sound quality is very good and i like it as you can use all the feature from your phone hands free, or you could go down the PARROT MKI9200 route which also a good route and much easier

cheers

Joe
