XF Drivers Seat Memory Settings

Featured Replies

I have one of the first models, which is a 2007 Jaguar XF 3.0L V6 Luxury Petrol with only 72,000 miles on the clock and it drives like a dream but for one annoying thing. There are two memory settings for the drivers seat, which sometimes work and sometimes don't so it's been into the garage for diagnostic checks but they can't find anything wrong. Does anybody else have any experience of this and what the cause might be?

My 2010 is the same, its ok for ages then just seems to forget whats been stored

I'm not sure if mine (some time ago) reset by doing this or just that it was a glitch at the time?  - - -  My 2011 3.0d Premium Luxury didn't remember the seat position.  I kept attempting to get it to register, eventually holding down the memory button whilst turning on the ignition.  The industry joke "have you tried switching it off and back on again" may have fixed it by rebooting?  Either that or a glitch but there looks like there may be a number of us either with or had the same fault?

Thanks Dewellia but it doesn't lose its settings you simply can't retrieve them because pressing the buttons has no effect and suddenly it will start working again!
