Boot opens when parked.

Featured Replies

Had this twice now, first time was in a public car park.  Only left for about 10 mins and on my return it was open, thought I must have caught the fob when putting it in my pocket so thought nothing of it.  However had a call from security at work today to say the boot was open, thankfully a colleague had shut it for me.  I've searched on here but nothing, has anyone had something similar?

Hi

you either have a dodgy remote/sticky button maybe or dodgy boot lock

but the dodgy boot lock, or anything else, should set the alarm off

if your alarm is not going off, if it has one, then the only way you can open the boot, with out the alarm going off is by the remote

anything else should  trigger the alarm

do you have a spare remote, try using that

cheers

Thank Joe for the quick reply.  Thought along those lines as the remote I use is the spare, will use the OE one for a while.
