Hi I have recently acquired my s type but seem to be having a problem with the secondary alarm if I lock my car after a short while it starts the alarm this is not the main alarm and it's driving my neighbours nuts can any one help please

Its more than likely the sounder is faulty

As they get old the battery inside it, battery backup, fails and will cause false alarms

You should be able just to unplug it

not sure where it is on a x-type, but if its sounding should be easy to find
