Good day gents/ladies

I have just had a gearbox amber light fault on the car this happened when I was overtaking at about 50mph I put foot down and car did what she always does and shot forward but at same time as gearbox code came on I got a battery warning light on dash after restarting light for gearbox went of but battery stayed on any help would be great fully appreciated.

HI and Welcome

Sounds like a low battery, Its the biggest cause of problems on the s-type

I charged your battery over night, no need to disconnect the battery, just put it on charge

If it cures it, it may be due for a new battery

You could check battery voltage and read what fault codes you have, but I'd try charging the battery first, it the most common faults for modules going into fault, switching the ignition off and on should clear it, but it will be back if the battery getting tired and low

cheers

Joe
