Hi every one,

 

Is it possible to buy a flywheel pilot bearing (spigot bearing) the bearing that sits in the flywheel and supports the input shaft of the gearbox?

 

If so where do i get one?

can't find anything on eBay or the like, so probably Dealer only part

I had done the normal searches but just wondered if any one knew a source :-)

Assuming it's a 3.0 petrol the 'box is a Getrag 221 which is used in many different cars which widens your options if going to a dealer. However I would approach a transmission specialists first. Dealers would probably do the same anyway.

I rang Lancasters today and a very helpful chap said that the bearing only comes with a new flywheel.

 

But he said that he knew a guy who just machines up a piece of Phousor Bronze and uses that in his Jag racer. Which is what i may well end up doing!
