2006 XK Satnav

Featured Replies

Had previous XK few years ago, decided to buy another 2006 model a week or so ago. . Looks great but trying to find out what Satnav is being used.

It seems to lose itself when confronted with new roads and calibrating is a pain when stuck in the wilderness.

I know it says 2006 normally use Alpine but suspect it may be the 2007 MMM2 version. I want to update the maps but cant find out how to tell which version I'm using.

I know the Alpine maps are no longer supported, but wanted to be sure before I bought newer versions

Welcome to the club, Viv.

If you have a disc system it will tell you what year etc that it and then you can try googling for an up to date on.

Mine had an 06 Denso disc and I was able to  a 2012 disc from eBay,

Regards

Peter.

Many thanks Peter

I have just purchased a late 2006 XK and it had a 2012 disc in the unit. It doesn't look like an original Jag one to me but work fine. Thinking of getting a 2017-18 one and if I do, I'll let you know how I get one.
