I have a 2007 XKR portfoilio and could do with the sat nav updating. I have some discs out of my old XF which I'm not sure if they will work and I have found some landrover jaguar 2013 discs in the car which I tried but couldn't get any info  from them. As anyone updated there sat nav and how, help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I bought the appropriate CD on the bay of e and it worked no problem.

OK I'm new to this club and finding navigating my way around the site tricky. I just want to make as many people as possible aware of my recent problems with HERE sat nav updates. Bought a 2013 XF 6 months ago and paid £170 to HERE for a European update ( just UK not available) Arrived in USB stick format. After 1 hour still displaying 0% so I removed the stick. Result corruption of sat nav module. So I've lost £170, my original sat nav and caused, wait for it, £1800:00 damage to the car just by removing the stick whilst updating. Needless to say neither Jaguar nor HERE are liable.

Shocking to hear this Bill!

I guess that we all have that fear in the back of our minds when we are updating our satnav: I know that I did, though in the event it went perfectly smoothly.

Did they give any indication on the time it should take to update, and did you do it with the engine running?

Yes but they did say I could turn the engine off mid time but apparently not remove the USB Still don't understand how a software update can corrupt what I assume is a hardware module. My biggest complaint is that in HERE's instructions nowhere does it mention the possible consequences of removing the stick early. It really ought to. Still fighting, may have to take legal advice. Jaguar dealer offered me a trade in deal for a similar car plus £6k! Honestly I don't know which planet theyre on.
