S type 2,7D - 2006 - EGR Cooler Delete

Featured Replies

Hi,

After remapping ecu + delete dpf + delete egr.... I am satisfied and happy with the performance of the car.

We removed also the dpf physically + I blocked the egr valves.

Now:  I think to cancel / delete the egr cooler system.

Because I am suspicious that the cooling system water is unnecessary and there is a lot loss of cooling energy..

Anybody knows the cancelling / delete process of the cooling system of EGR?

Thanks in advance..

Let me revise my question:

Is there any need to delete the egr cooling system AFTER remapping+blocking EGR valves?

Hi bud how did you get on with this Im having issues with the DPF on my x type so fitting a non dpf exhaust centre section. would love some advice from someone whos done it.

Hi Paul,

I assume your x type has the 2.2 litre diesel engine.

If so, I would advise that the new MOT rules say that if the DPF has been removed it will be an automatic failure.  If you are lucky, the tester will think that it has not been removed.  If unlucky you will be looking at four figures to replace the DPF.

Regards,

Peter.
