XF Key Fob Problems

Hi, I have a 2008 XF 2.7  one fob works just fine the other i'm told by Timpsons works but is sending a very faint signal but it wont unlock the car, HELP PLEASE.

Hi Ray,

sounds like the small switches in the fob have failed or failing, common problem.

They are called tactile switches. and redilly available on ebay, only problem is they have to be soldered onto the cicuit board in the fob,

ebay sell a maintenace kit swithes and battery for your fob.

theres people that repair these, my local locksmith does

theres also kits on ebay to replace the switch on the board if your handy with a soldering iron
