i am looking to buy a 1972 Series 3 E type and there is a gap in its history. Is there anywhere that I could obtain this information in terms of old MOT certificates, service records or simply confirm that the mileage is genuine, thanking you in anticipation

Welcome to the club, Mark.

Great to see another E Type potential owner in the club.

There is an App called  Vehicle Smart  which will give you the MOT history of the car, and it is completely free,

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter unfortunately my search using vehicle smart only shows from 2014 to date when the details where recorded on line, Mark

Have you bought the car ?

I think with a car that is getting on for 50 there will always be a few gaps in its history. If you haven’t I would get it inspected by someone who really knows what they are looking at because I am sure it is a major investment. And beware of rust and poor repairs to previous corrosion issues.

If you have bought it put up some pics
