Greetings! Old bloke from Beds. Has a 2000 S-Type 4.0 V8 & a 2003 XJ8 3.5 V8. In the past I've had a 1970 something dog of an XJ6 and a presentable 1996 XK8 Convertible.

I enjoy stabilising old cars, if not improving them marginally...

Hi Lee...welcome to the Club

Glad to hear your an enthusiastic custodian of old V8 Jags....bet you wish you kept the XK8 though?

Good to have you onboard

Cheers,  Trevor

Hi Trevor,

The XK8 was going to be expensive. The tensioner hadn't been done and the gearbox wasn't too happy with hill starts. I do love the S-Type though. Originally it was just going to be a weekender, but I loved it so much, I now use it as my daily drive. It's been up to Scotland and next week I'll be touring south west Wales in it!

The XJ8 though is having the subframes reprotecting and Waxoyling. While that's underway, it's under wraps in the garage, maybe not to emerge until the Spring.

Welcome to the Club, Lee.

The s type is a great car, and also my daily drive.  Had it over 4 years now and find it very reliable.

Next week she will take us to South Devon, so we can get a rest from being pensioners!

Regard

Peter.
