Hey there!

Newbie here, took delivery of a 57 X-Type 2.2 Premium Sport yesterday, and looking forward to my Jag motoring.

Do have a few questions if anyone out there can enlighten me.

Managed to pair my iPhone with the touchscreen sat nav, however, the phonebook has a load of numbers already stored. How do I delete them?

The parking sensor switch sound goes off for 3 seconds and then flashes when I try to activate using the roof switch. Manual tells me ther is an error. What should I be looking for to correct this?

Finally, is it possible to acquire a 2017 map DVD for the nav?

Thanks all,

Padster

Welcome to the club, Paddy.

With regards to your sat nov, the last disc made for the x type, the s type and I think the XJ was in 2012, which you can get via Google for under £30.

I am not certain how to delete numbers on your touch screen 'phone display, but I think it is a similar  procedure to deleting stored locations.  I will have a look at my car and get back to you on that, as I have a number to change.

In the meantime, Just enjoy the Jaguar experience.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Paddy,

I have had a look at my touchscreen and could not find any way to delete a number.  The handbook tells me that the system will hold 500 numbers!

I never had the problem with my s type.  It could be that the previous owner never unpaired his 'phone prior to selling the car which could have done it

Regards,

Peter.
