Hi folks recently purchased my x/type the parking sensors seem to be a little erratic there are 2 different lights on overhead console 1 x red  on the switch and another orange one on console not the switch both come on intermittently but not flashing does anyone know what the orange one is please ?? thanks guys.

If you mean ambient light, it comes on with the lights and lights up the gear shift area, subtly

also check the module in the boot for water, they some time leak in, or just could be a bad connection

Thanks for the reply Joe you maybe right it could be an ambient light I will check it out, also the module in boot looks ok but I may remove it and give it a spruce up  to  see if it helps thanks again.Les.

Apparently common problem is reverse switch on transmission under bonnet just had mine replaced under warranty from seller, they said common fault

ok Thanks Colin its not a major issue but I am a fussy bugger and if there is an item in car it should work even if I don't use it lol just a me thing I guess I will have a play with switch when I find it cheers matey !
