xtype problems

Featured Replies

have had a 2007 xtype for around 4 months.no problems at all untill started having problems opening the door with the key fob.this continued so i tried changing the batteries in the key fob.made no difference and was just the same.tried to start the car another time but it immobalised itself.has done this a few times now and still lots of problems opening the doors.sometimes it will only open the back doors, sometimes will open none.have tried re-programing the keys but that has made no difference.......can anybody give me any advice please.

Hi Michael  --first off I welcome you to the club I think you will find us friendly and helpful

At odd times I've had problems and i was told to also check that the boot and bonnet are closed

correctly---I have a disabled Elec chair in the boot and all the things that go with it and occasionally

the boot closes?? but plays up ?????---it make the locking system do assorts ??

If this happens I open and close the boot again open and close all doors sit in car and turn engine on

then off jump out of car and I find all locks work OK again + no problem until I cause the problem again ??

Good Luck.

Frank
